Dear GLoCALL presenters,
The course area on our Moodle is now ready for you to upload your PPT files and to place links to whatever other material you might want the attendees of your sessions to access. Files of up to 5MB may be uploaded. If your PPT is larger than that, it probably means that you have put full-sized graphics into your Powerpoint. Please try reducing them and try again. If that still doesn't work, then please send the file to me as an attachment. To prevent technical glitches, we would appreciate it if you could have everything in place by November 5. Even if you plan to show your PPT from your own laptop, we would appreciate it if you could upload a version here for the benefit of those who cannot attend. You are free to reload it later if you update the contents.
Everyone receiving this e-mail has an account on the system which should allow you to have "teacher/editing" privileges in this course. The URL is:
https://glocall.org/course/view.php?id=10
If you have not accessed the site yet, your login ID and your password both are set to the part of your e-mail address (in this mail) that is to the left side of the "@" mark. My e-mail address is: <[email protected]> so my username and password would be "trobb". Please change your password to something else after you log in.
Also, could you please check the block schedules on the site at to make sure that your presentations are all listed? In some cases, there might have been slight changes in the time and/or room:
https://glocall.org/course/view.php?id=30
You can also inspect the full set of presentation abstracts there, just as they will appear in the program book.
We will be placing information on the GLoCALL website soon concerning how to get from the airport to the hotel in both cities. I'll send around another message when it is ready.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Cheers,
Tom Robb, Co-Chair
